School Mission & Vision
As effective worldwide communicators, Carver Academy students will be critical thinkers and inquisitive learners, with a sense of personal commitment to action and service. Carver Academy’s faculty and support staff will provide preschool through sixth grade students with rich learning experiences in a challenging academic and social environment.
“Working as a team, fulfilling our dream.”
Carver staff and parents recognize the importance of strong school-family partnerships. Our office staff greets visitors warmly, welcomes their questions, and tends to their needs. Teachers invite parents to visit classrooms and communicate with them in a timely manner. Many parents and teachers now choose to keep in touch by e-mail. The principal is available at the school’s entrance before and after-school to talk with parents on an informal basis. Parents are encouraged to participate in the Parent-Teacher Association and School Site Council, to attend school-wide events, and to volunteer in classrooms.
Academic Success
All students have continued to make academic growth. Many teachers have advanced training and are qualified to teach students who are learning disabled, gifted, and English Language Learners. We offer intervention and enrichment programs both within the school day and after-school.
